Admission requirements:

If you have questions about the Mayflower program admissions process, we can help! Our team is available to walk you through the application process—and help you get on your way towards earning your Mayflower diploma.

  1. Interview: You must interview with an Admissions Advisor.
  1. Age: You must be at least 17 years old by the first day of classes.
  1. Prior Education Requirement: You need to have a high school diploma, a GED certificate, or a post-secondary degree. If you have an associate degree or higher, that’s also acceptable.
  1. Academic Performance: If enrolling with college credits, you should have completed college-level work with at least a C average or a cumulative GPA of 2.00 on a 4.0 scale. Military applicants must have an AFQT score of at least 60 on the ASVAB.
  1. College-Level Skills: Test scores are not mandatory for the admissions process, but those seeking to maximize merit-based aid can submit scores from standardized tests like the CLT, SAT, or ACT.
  1. Essay: Submit a brief personal statement expressing your interest in becoming a nanny and any relevant experience or skills you possess.
  1. Online Coursework: As the program is online, you must have access to a reliable, modern computer with internet access.
  1. Language Proficiency: Proficiency in the English language is required to fully engage with the course material and instruction. If English is not your native language, you may have to submit TOEFL scores or an approved alternative assessment.
  1. Background Check: All students must undergo a routine background check to promote a safe and trustworthy learning environment for everyone.
  1. Recommendation Letters (Optional): While not required, one or two letters of recommendation can provide insight into your character and suitability for the program.
